Lisa has had a longstanding interest in directing and producing television and frequently expresses her wish to collaborate with experienced Australian writers and producers.  She has optioned the Christine Harris novel ‘Outback: The Diary of Jimmy Porter’ and in September and October 2009 she was granted script development funding from the Australian Children’s Television Foundation and the South Australian Film Corporation. She is expected to co-produce a screen version with former “Blue Heelers” producer Gus Howard in 2014.

However, Lisa’s first foray into producing came in the form of 13-part family medical/adventure series called ‘Reef Doctors’ (working title was ‘Hope’s Reef’).  In August 2009 it was made public that she would star as well as co-produce alongside renowned children’s TV creator Jonathan Shiff in this new Channel 10 production shot near Port Douglas.  Lisa played Dr Sam Stewart, a single mother whose professional passion is the study of venom in the tropics.  The series was filmed from November 2011 to April 2012 and premiered on the 2013 June long-weekend with a pitifiul 10 days of advertising in the lead up.  The show rated poorly and was shifted to a new timeslot after only one episode, before being shifted again to see out its season at 6:30pm on Saturdays on ELEVEN.

Since August 2012, Lisa has starred as Nellie Forbush opposite Teddy Tahu Rhodes in the Lincoln Theater Center’s production of ‘South Pacific’, co-produced by Opera Australia and John Frost.  The show received extraordinary critical and popular acclaim in its original Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane seasons, with an encore Sydney season playing from September 2013, before moving to Perth and Adelaide from November.

Mid-2013 Lisa appeared in short, multi-city seasons of ‘Shane Warne: The Musical’ and ‘Love…and all that follows’.  For the screen, she appeared in the first episode of Peter Helliar comedy ‘It’s a Date’ and has filmed a role in the upcoming Josh Lawson film ‘The Little Death’.  She has several screen projects in development.

From April 2014 Lisa will headline a national tour of ‘The King and I’.
